Ticket sales to the Diner Dance have been very poor (75) and with regret the Social Committee has decided to CANCEL THE FUNCTION. We had booked the function centre on the basis we could see about 200 tickets.
Refunds can be obtained after Masses at OLH and from Sunday 22nd August before and after 10.30am and 5.30pm Masses at St David's. You can also contact Denise at the Officer after 22nd August.
Thanks to those parishioners who booked tickets. The Social Committee will look for a smaller venue next time.
New Rosters for Ministers at St David‘s Church are in the foyer. Please remember to take your roster home with you today.
Having presented the case for a brighter sanctuary, listened to the considered opinion of many, a big thank you is due to those parishioners who took time to express their insights. This is not the first time this issue has come under consideration and probably won‘t be the last. The conclusion to this matter indicates that progress would be best served by standing still—i.e. Leave things as they are. Once again thanks for participating.
Also some investigation was pursued into possible heating of the church. The experts concluded that money could be best spent on other causes.

Caritas Australia is calling for donations provide desperately needed emergency relief to the 14 million people affected by flooding in Pakistan. Torrential rain has seen millions of people evacuated from the flood waters after losing everything: their homes, belongings, businesses, livestock and crops.
Your donation will help provide for their immediate needs including food, water and shelter. Caritas Australia is already responding to this crises with people on the ground delivering life-saving assistance. Give generously to the Caritas Australia South Asia Floods Appeal - Pakistan. Call 1800 024 413, donate online at www.caritas.org.au or send your donation to GPO Box 9830, Adelaide 5001.
For your information, the Parish of Tea Tree Gully is sending $2000.00 to Caritas on behalf of the parish. If you wish to send a personal donation, you are most welcome to do so, as mentioned above.
